Contraindications

Please take a moment to review the contraindications for the procedure you have elected to receive.
Hydrafacial
You may not be a good candidate for this service if the following applies to your health:
- Have active acne, such as severe, inflammatory acne
- Any open lesion(s)
- If you have an autoimmune or communicable disease
- Have any cold sores or fever blisters without pre-medication
- Any abnormal, unidentified facial growth or mark on treatment area
- If allergic to any ingredients in the skin solutions
- Shellfish allergy. Due to one of the ingredients found within one of the serums, there is very slight chance of having a shellfish allergic reaction if you are topically allergic to shellfish, such as crab, lobster, or shrimp
- If you have just had Fractional Ablative Laser, wait at least 14 days
- If you have just had Energy Based Devices, wait at least 3 weeks
- If you have just had Microneedling, wait at least 3 weeks
- If you have just had Surgical Facelift, wait at least 14 days
- If you have just had Cosmetic Injections, wait 5-7 days after Botox injections or 7-10 days after filler injections.
Microdermabrasion
Not for use for patients with Active acne, uncontrolled diabetes, skin cancer, eczema or dermatitis, Viral lesions, Herpes simplex, flat warts, Vascular lesions, Oral blood thinner patients, Rosacea, Children, Pregnant or Nursing persons, allergy to Nickel, or recent Accutane use (wait 6 months).
LED LIGHT THERAPY
Contraindications. LightStim is not recommended if the following apply to you:
- Extreme sensitivity to light - migraines brought on by bright light
- Use of photosensitizing drugs
- Melasma or hyperpigmentation (especially if exacerbated by mild warmth)
- Suspicious lesions or skin cancer - please visit your physician
- Accutane should be discontinued 6 months in advance of treatment
- Clients who are being treated for any type of serious health condition or who are pregnant should seek the approval of their personal physician before undergoing any new treatment of any kind.
- Epilepsy
- Currently taking steroids or cortisone injections
Morpheus8 / Radiofrequency Microneedling
- Pregnancy or nursing
- Under 18 years of age
- Pacemaker or internal defibrillator or any electronic Implant such as glucose monitor
- Permanent implant in the treated area such as metal plates and screws, silicone implants or an injected chemical substance
- Current or history of cancer, especially skin cancer, or pre-malignant moles
- Impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases such as AIDS and HIV, or use of immunosuppressive medications
- Severe concurrent conditions such as cardiac disorders, epilepsy, uncontrolled hypertension, and liver or kidney diseases
- A history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex in the treatment area
- Any active condition in the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasis, eczema and rash as well as excessively/freshly tanned skin
- History of skin disorders such as keloid scarring, abnormal wound healing, as well as very dry and fragile skin
- Any medical condition that might impair skin healing
- Poorly controlled endocrine disorders, such as diabetes or thyroid dysfunction
- Any surgical, invasive, ablative procedure in the treatment area in the last 3 months or before complete healing
- Intra-dermal or superficial sub-dermal areas injected with Botox®/HA/collagen/fat injections or other augmentation methods with bio-material, before the product has been dissipated (up to 6 months), except Botox after binding to the facial muscles (3-7 days). It is possible to treat sooner over injectable products placed in the deep, periosteal plane, as soon as the area has healed (1-3 weeks).
- Use of Isotretinoin (Accutane®) within 6 months prior to treatment
- Currently taking antibiotics
- The hand piece should be used at least 1cm away from cochlear implants in the ear. (For RF applications only)
- Silicone implants or an injected chemical substance, unless deep enough in the periosteal plane in the treatment area (For RF applications only).
- Any facial surgery performed within a year prior to treatment.
- Any surgical procedure in the treatment area within the last three months or before complete healing.
- Facial laser resurfacing, facial dermabrasion, and deep chemical peeling within the last three months if face is being treated.
- Vitiligo
- Treating over tattoo or permanent makeup.
- Excessively tanned skin from sun, tanning beds or tanning creams and sprays within the last two weeks.
Lumecca / IPL
- Pregnancy or nursing
- Under 18 years of age (unless there is parents consent)
- Permanent implant in the treated area such as metal plates and screws, silicone implants or an injected chemical substance
- Current or history of cancer, especially skin cancer, or pre-malignant moles
- Impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases such as AIDS and HIV, or use of immunosuppressive medications
- Severe concurrent conditions such as cancer, cardiac disorders, epilepsy, uncontrolled hypertension, and liver or kidney diseases
- A history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex in the treatment area (prophylactic treatment may be given)
- Any active condition in the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasis, eczema and rash as well as excessively/freshly tanned skin
- History of skin disorders such as keloid scarring, abnormal wound healing, as well as very dry, cracked, ulcerated, infected and fragile skin
- Tattoos, permanent make-up, pigmented lesions (to be kept)
- Any medical condition that might impair skin healing

- Certain delay is recommended if other recent treatments such as light, laser or RF were performed on treated area.

- As per the practitioner's discretion, refrain from treating any condition which might make it unsafe for the patient.

Skinpen
Active Skin Cancer in treatment area, Open Wounds, sores, or irritated skin in the treatment area, allergy to stainless steel or anesthetics, have hemorrhagic (bleeding) disorder or hemostatic (bleeding) dysfunction, Pregnant or Nursing, or currently taking drugs with the ingredient isotretinoin (such as Accutane). For PRP: Abnormal platelet function or low platelet count, anemia, cancer, infection or taking blood thinners.
